Trails & Outdoor Fitness

Walking and Equestrian Trails

A paved loop trail spans approximately 1.6 miles around the park’s interior pond, offering ideal terrain for walking, jogging, biking, or a casual family stroll . For horse lovers, a dedicated equestrian trail starts on Henney Road and weaves through shaded woodland areas.

Outdoor Fitness Stations

In 2018, six fitness stations were installed along the walking trail thanks to a Rotary Club donation. These include ab-rotator units, balance beams, dual exercise bars, leg presses, a rowing station, and a sit-up bench, encouraging active, bodyweight-based workouts amid nature.

Disc Golf Course

Introduced in 2014, the park’s disc golf course offers 9-, 18-, or even 27-hole rounds, with tee options catering to beginners, advanced, and pro players. The course features varied terrain—open fields, wooded corridors, and creek crossings—providing a challenging and engaging experience . John Miskelly Playground & Fishing Pond

Near the Harper Road entrance sits the John Miskelly Playground, equipped with swings, slides, climbing structures, monkey bars, tire swings, a merry-go-round, and a two-person swing added in 2019. Adjacent to this area, a tranquil fishing pond enables families and anglers to enjoy leisurely afternoons in the park.

Pavilions & Community Events

Choctaw Creek Park features small, medium, and large pavilions, with the medium and large versions equipped with electricity. These are frequently used for birthday gatherings, reunions, workshops, and city-run events.
